Research
My research asks how generative AI is changing professional communication and how business schools should teach it. With my UT Dallas colleague Kathryn Lookadoo, I have audited how textbooks teach AI applicant tracking systems (ATS) and LinkedIn, and surveyed students at several universities about AI writing assistants. Our most-cited paper offers guidance for writing generative AI policies in higher education.
My earlier work, from a PhD in humanities, examined how Victorian women wrote about religion and religious work. I apply the same close attention to language to how people communicate at work.
